About the Artist
Hey, I’m David.
Growing up with ADHD, art was always my sanctuary—a place to express emotions I couldn’t always put into words. Somewhere along the way, life pulled me away from painting. Distractions, drinking, drugs, and youthful misadventures took over, and I lost touch with that part of myself.
Life in New Zealand wasn’t easy. After having my two children, I knew I wanted something better for them—and for myself. We made the move to Australia in search of a fresh start, brighter opportunities, and a more grounded future. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
After 25 years, and through some major life shifts and personal growth, I found my way back to art—and it felt like coming home.
Every piece I create is driven by emotion—raw, honest, and unfiltered. I rarely know where the brush will take me, but I’ve learned to trust the process, embrace the unknown, and allow the work to unfold naturally. That’s where the magic lives.
Art isn’t just something I do—it’s how I heal, how I reflect, and how I reconnect with myself and the world around me. My work explores vulnerability, resilience, spirituality, and the deeper human experience. I’m drawn to the beauty within chaos, the strength that comes from struggle, and the courage it takes to be fully yourself.
My hope is that when you connect with my work, you feel something real—seen, understood, and a little less alone. That it reminds you to trust your own journey, wherever it may lead.
Thanks for being here. It truly means a lot.
If anything here resonates with you, feel free to reach out—I’m always open to a genuine conversation.
