As a self-taught intuitive artist, I don’t plan my work I feel it out, layer by layer. This one poured out of me. It cracked open the parts of me I’ve kept hidden. The parts that were screaming for release.
This painting is a visual of the damage an overthinking mind can do — when your thoughts turn inwards and start to eat away at your confidence, your joy, even your sense of self. It’s the mental wear and tear you don’t always notice until years have gone by.
The texture, the worn edges, the stormy tones… they’re scars.
They’re the result of trying to stay strong while silently breaking.
But this painting isn’t just about pain — it’s about survival. It’s about the beauty in what remains when everything else has been stripped away.
